Novato Whole Foods Market Construction on Track
A Millworks representative says the Novato Whole Foods Market is scheduled to open in the Spring of 2010, which is approximately nine months after the first residents move into the condos located on the three floors above the store. This supports what Whole Foods itself is saying, that construction is going forward on schedule.
Specialty grocer Whole Foods Market will become an anchor tenant for downtown Novato, attracting other high-quality retail businesses. Whole Foods states that it believes passionately in the communities it serves. Throughout the year, Whole Foods gives back at least 5% of its profits to local non-profit organizations through its quarterly Community Support Days.
Another community benefit of The Millworks is the "tot lot" play area the developer has included in plans for the site. It'll be a place for kids and parents to gather - and there is nothing else like it today in the downtown.
